Two weeks of really important people

Quick work update: Working in Disneyland is amazing. I'm learning so much about myself, about the company, and about how to plan and execute events and activities. Right now we are doing Disneyland Canoe Races, and I'm loving every second of it! Well, except for the second where I have to wake up at 3:00 am and I can't function well for the rest of the day. It's a little strange trying to make a good impression on coworkers when all I can think about is how much I want to sleep on anything around me. Should I use this wagon to move all the equipment, or should I just crawl inside and use this pile of safety waivers as a blanket?

Quick fame update: I was in the audience for the taping of the Men Tell All episode of the Bachelorette with my best friend. We were pretty serious about reacting to everything, so apparently we made it on TV couple times (I haven't seen it yet). Friday, a stranger asked me if I had been on the show. Yeah. Fam. Ous. Before you even have to ask, I do have autographed headshots upon request.

Quick forever alone update: My roommate just got two kittens for our apartment. So, while my journey making friends in a new city is slow and painful, the beginning of my journey to crazy cat lady status is more enjoyable than I imagined.

Last week my mom and sister visited, and this week my cousins are in town. It has been AMAZING to have family in town. I try to convince myself that someday, the beautiful weather and amazing job will conquer my homesickness, but hanging out with everyone has just reminded me that my whole life my family has meant everything to me. I love chasing dreams, but oh MAN, I fantasize about the day I can live down the street from all my family again.

Now, as I am 100% sure everyone has already noticed, I deactivated my Facebook (I know you're morning ritual hasn't felt complete without looking through my 74 albums of pictures in Disneyland). Unfortunately for anyone who hates picture overloads, the cousins I mentioned are adorable beyond all reason, and I have nowhere else to share all this preciousness.

I know it's out of focus, but that face!

I hope they never leave

  2. You take awesome photos! Just saying...

  3. I was totally missing your facebook presence, and when I looked you up and you were nowhere to be found, I got serrrriously desperate. I googled "bri" "disneyland" "blog" "jungle cruise" and Vwalah! Here you are! I am so happy for you and all your adventures. You were always (and still are) one of my most favorite people I met at BYU. You're lovely and brave; the type of person I aspire to be! Please keep updating!!

  4. Love that last picture!! Can we talk about your uncle's bare chest?
